A little about me

Hiya, I'm Jess!

A keen observer, lover of all things nature, intricate details and satisfying design.

I grew up in a family of engineers, scientists and mathematicians, but I always considered myself more artistic and creative than academic, so I combined my love for art and an interest in engineering and studied my Bachelor's degree at Plymouth Uni on human habitats (BA architecture), found a job in the industry and started designing these habitats for real! I loved the friends I made and the skills and knowledge I gained, but something didn't sit right. What about all the other habitats that were damaged to create our human ones? So I went back to Uni, this time at the Eden Project in Cornwall, to study nature's habitats (MSc in Ecological Restoration and Environmental Management). I developed my knowledge, improved my species ID, and met a bunch of like-minded people with knowledge across a range of fields. I created Rambles & Brambles initially as a slow walk domain, but over time, it has developed to become a space for me to share all that I care for and can offer. I hope you like it :)
