More often than not, I find myself reaching for the camera, desperate to preserve what I can see. From a young age, I was surrounded by people who found joy in photography; my Filipina mum would bring one out at any opportunity, finding the beauty in capturing a moment for our future selves to reminisce on, and my dad hand-developed the first photo ever taken of me in a self-made dark room. I grew an excitement toward seeing through a lens; my grandfather's film camera was passed down to me, and it allowed me to capture the world exactly how I wanted to and take on my mum's role of memory-capturer. Everyone has their "thing" and, in my heart, this is mine. In many ways, it is a big game of real-life Pokémon, and in others, it is my therapy. Behind the lens, I am drawn to what I truly love, with no peripheral distractions, people, nature, design, and even better if I find them all combined.
